Steve Williams announces his candidacy for Houston County Commissioner 2

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) — At a press conference Wednesday morning, Steve Williams announced his candidacy for Houston County 2 Commissioner.

In an email sent to newsroom 41NBC, Williams says he aims to focus on four areas: growth and infrastructure; public safety support; fiscal responsibility; and community collaboration, cooperation and partnership.

“Serving is not something I do. It’s a way of life for me,” Williams said. “I have served this community for over 30 years and during that time have worked with many community partners from Robins Air Force Base, the local Legislative Branch, the Board of Education and educational institutions. Central Georgia Higher Education.”

“There are more than 750 dedicated employees in Houston County, and I know firsthand the importance of collaboration and partnership for community betterment,” Williams says. “I believe in a long term plan for the kinds of investment, industry and growth that will benefit our community. The collaboration of our goals, our ideas and our funding will ensure the value and stability of our community.

Williams has served as Chairman of the Board of the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of the Robins Regional Educational Foundation, Chairman of the Core Advisory Board and Chairman of the Investment Board in Main -work. He has also served on the Houston County Planning and Zoning Board and the Museum of Aviation Board.
