The Paulding County Republican Central Committee met on Thursday, October 7 to appoint a new county commissioner at the Black Swamp Center. “Jerry Zielke, the President, said we had eleven exceptional people who submitted resumes.
After much discussion, the committee voted in open session and the majority winner was Michael L Weible who lives with his wife Karin in the Oakwood Ohio area. They have 4 adult children and 10 grandchildren. Mike is a graduate of Paulding High School and ITT Ft Wayne Technical Institute. Mike is currently a farmer and farmer with his family in the Oakwood area.
He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Paulding County Agricultural Services Agency. He was administrator of the canton of Auglaize for 6 years. He worked for several years as a store manager for a large chain of retail stores and has extensive experience in planning, marketing, expense control and human resources.
Mike will start as commissioner in a few days as soon as all the necessary paperwork is completed and he is sworn in. We are very happy that Mike is joining the Commissioner’s team to continue to improve Paulding County in the future, Zielke said.
