The Lompoc Planning Commission will discuss possible recommendations to Lompoc City Council later this month regarding streetscape improvements along Highway 1 and Highway 246.

The Planning Commission is expected to address the draft Lompoc Multimodal Streetscape Improvement Plan at its meeting on Wednesday May 25 and decide on recommendations to council regarding the plan.

The Lompoc Multimodal Streetscape Improvement Plan includes proposed improvements for bicycles and pedestrians, as well as necessary streetscape design and beautification along Lompoc’s main transportation corridors, H Street and Ocean Ave.

Proposed improvements along these highways would benefit safety, walkability, multimodal access and connectivity, while identifying new city gateways, landscaping and encouraging infill development. and revitalization across the project corridor.

The draft plan, which includes community feedback collected through a survey, can be viewed on the Planning Division of the City of Lompoc. Web page.
