Local News: Planning Commission Conducting Parking Investigation (1/27/22)
The Eureka Springs Planning Commission is conducting a survey to assess the extent of residential parking issues in the R-1, Victorian Residential Zoning District.
This survey is a key part of objectively assessing residential parking problems and determining which solutions residents would support.
The 15-question survey was sent directly to residents of the following streets: Elk, Kingshighway, West Mountain, Owen, Pine, Prospect, Spring, Washington and White. At this time, the Commission will only send surveys to addresses zoned R-1 along these streets. The polls were posted on Friday, January 14.
Although not all residents will receive a survey in the mail, everyone is welcome to participate. The survey is available online at this link https://forms.gle/n3ykTM7va1VQ3icT6 or a paper copy can be picked up at the town hall.
Polls must be returned to City Hall, 44 S. Main St., by Feb. 11.
The surveys will be compiled by city staff and by computer.
“Parking is a problem that concerns us all. We hope this project will be a collaborative effort with citizens,” said Ann Tandy-Sallee, Chair of the Eureka Springs Planning Commission. “It is important that residents participate in the investigation. Someone may have a solution that the commission had not considered before.
